OUR CONSULTATION

Your Sports Podiatry Initial Consult is a thorough investigation and treatment plan of your foot, ankle and lower limb injury or musculoskeletal condition.

Our biomechanical assessment is tailored to your sport or activity, which includes a comprehensive history taking of your condition, your activity, running, sport, and your goals. The assessment involves testing the range of motion of various joints in your foot, ankle and lower limb, muscle tests, running/walking analysis, and movement analysis.

We also carry out a comprehensive analysis of your current shoe wear (runners, football boots, work shoes etc.), socks and orthotics. Assessing their fit, age, support, cushioning and any other factors that may be essential for your current condition, your running, sports or activity, to ensure you are performing at your best.

A referral from the GP is not needed for a Sports Podiatry Initial Consult. In addition, if further investigation is required, your Sports Podiatrist will issue you with a diagnostic imaging referral.

It is from a thorough assessment that we are able to truly customise an effective treatment plan that will get you back to what you love doing.
